PhovIR is unlocking material insights with its breakthrough Near Infra-Red (NIR) optical sensor technology. The University of Manchester spinout has developed a miniature device that identifies the "optical fingerprint" of the constituents of solids, liquids and gases — offering a small, lightweight and cost-effective solution for chemical sensing that can be incorporated into portable devices. Its technology has broad potential industrial and consumer applications including diagnostics, agriculture and environmental monitoring.
