September 2025 update on our new Deep Tech incubator in Bristol Old Market
Progress is accelerating at OMX, the 30,000 sq ft Deep Tech incubator currently under construction in Bristol’s Old Market. Since announcing the project in December 2023, we’ve hit several key build milestones and are now accepting pre-let agreements ahead of our opening in March 2026.
Designed to support the next generation of science and engineering companies, OMX will offer 30 CL2-ready labs with flexible options — from individual 370 sq ft lab spaces to full 3,000 sq ft lab-and-office suites.
The building, located across the road from our main events hub — Science Creates Old Market — will also have a few private offices, communal meeting rooms and social spaces, featuring a Japanese tea bar-inspired seating area.
Now almost at midway point in construction, the refurbishment has evolved from large open spaces with most of the internal walls installed, enabling access and walk-throughs of the final layout.
Hard-hat tours are already underway for prospective new residents, and we’re now inviting pre-let interest from Deep Tech startups looking to scale in a purpose-built environment. This includes UK-registered companies from across the country who are looking to plug into Bristol’s fast-growing science and innovation ecosystem.
Delivered by Kori Construction — trusted partners who previously delivered our Science Creates Old Market incubator — OMX is adjacent to the University of Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus footprint, complementing the region’s broader ambitions for research, commercialisation and innovation-led growth.
